Darwin Lamm, publisher of
Elvis...The Magazine, grew up as an Elvis fan in the fifties, but
entered the Elvis world on August 16, 1977 when he was asked to
produce the Elvis Radio Tribute following Elvis’ death. It was
entitled “Elvis Remembered” and led to over 200 hours of Elvis
Radio Tributes.
Creative
Radio Network President, Darwin Lamm formed the firm in 1971 with Dick
Clark to syndicate and distribute the controversial Bill Balance
talk show.
Lamm, a former ICM and APA
Television agent took over Creative Radio Shows when Dick Clark
moved into the TV field. Lamm moved into the area of music
programming and his first special was a four hour The Beach Boys
Story.
In 1976, Lamm followed up
with a second four-hour radio special titled “The Beatles”. The
highly successful Buddy Holly Story then opened the door to many
Pop oriented specials. In 1987 Lamm produced the Elvis 10th
Anniversary Radio Tribute-which led to the weekly Radio Show
“The Elvis Hour.”
Throughout the '70s, '80s
and '90s, the CREATIVE RADIO NETWORK founded by Darwin Lamm was
known as the largest radio syndication company of “music
specials” on many of the top Rock and Country artists. Weekly
radio programs like the “Gary Owens Supertracks” and “The Elvis
Hour” received high acclaim for their longevity and production
quality. Since Elvis’ death in 1977, Darwin has produced and
directed Elvis radio specials heard around the world.

Although Darwin continues to
produce Radio Specials on various artists, he will be the first
to tell you that Elvis...The Magazine, Elvis Books
and Good Rockin’ Tonite concerts have always been in the
forefront. “I have found all the Elvis projects to be an
extremely challenging and fascinating experience. Not a day goes
by that I don’t hear or read something from a fan that touched
my heart. The undying love that so many fans feel for Elvis is
never ending and I will always strive to give you my best, as we
all continue...Keeping the Elvis Memory Alive.”
